NetSmartz® is an interactive, educational safety resource from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® and Boys & Girls Clubs of America for children (ages 5-17), parents, guardians, educators, and law enforcement that uses age-appropriate, 3-D activities to teach children how to stay safer on the Internet. The NetSmartz Workshop can be accessed at and Parents are encouraged to view this site for your own education but also tour the student sections to see information we are reviewing as potential cyber-curriculum to be presented to the children during computer lab time. All access is free with sites that are relevant to students of all ages in a fun, entertaining, and highly enriching/educational format. The NetSmartz Workshop was made possible via a public-private partnership with the United States Congress, United States Department of Justice's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Sponsorship from private corporations enables the NetSmartz Workshop and its innovative content to be shared with children, parents, guardians, educators, and law enforcement globally via the Internet at


The Internet Keep Safe Coalition group teaches basic rules of Internet safety to children and parents, reaching them online and in school. Governors formed this coalition in partnership with a growing list of crime prevention organizations, law enforcement agencies, foundations and corporate sponsors. The website teaches children to safely navigate the Internet through a virtual playground, Faux Paw's adventures in storybooks, an animated video download, and educational games. Educational materials, including worksheets and tests, are also available for parents and educators.


iSafe is another site for parents, students, and educators and receives funding from the government. There are real life videos, training materials and items for purchase.
i-SAFE Inc. is the worldwide leader in Internet safety education. Founded in 1998 and endorsed by the U.S. Congress, i-SAFE is a non-profit foundation dedicated to protecting the online experiences of youth everywhere. i-SAFE incorporates classroom curriculum with dynamic community outreach to empower students, teachers, parents, law enforcement, and concerned adults to make the Internet a safer place. is part of the official portal from the US government which has important sections on cyber safety. The information and activities/games for the grade 6-8 students is very well done and an excellent tool for teaching online safety.
