At Las Lomitas Elementary School District (LLESD), our students thrive because our people do. The Human Resources Department partners with schools and departments to recruit, support, and retain the talented professionals who make learning possible every day. Our Role
Human Resources serves all certificated, classified, and management employees in LLESD. We:

Recruit and hire highly qualified staff

Coordinate screening and panel interviews

Onboard new employees and substitute teachers
-
Support site and district leaders with staffing, leaves, and evaluations
-
Maintain personnel records and credentialing compliance
-
Collaborate with our employee associations on contract implementation and questions
Our goal is simple: make HR processes clear, consistent, and supportive so staff can focus on students.

Collaboration with CSEA and certificated associations on negotiated processes

A confidential place for employees to ask questions and seek guidance
Leaves, Benefits & Compliance

Leave management (FMLA/CFRA, PDL, Workers’ Compensation, personal and unpaid leaves)

Coordination of return-to-work and reasonable accommodations where applicable

Verification of credentials, permits, and authorizations

Support for National Board Certification and other professional milestones
Systems We Support
Human Resources partners with staff to keep key systems aligned:

Frontline Absence Management – Work calendars, absences, and substitute coverage

InformedK12 – Digital forms and workflows (e.g., TB, evaluations, HR forms)

Frontline ERP – Accurate setup of positions, assignments, and step/column placement
We work closely with Business Services, site leaders, and employee associations to make sure what’s on the work calendar, what’s in Frontline, and what’s in payroll all match.
