THE MUSEUM OF TOLERANCe

THE MUSEUM OF TOLERANCe

The Museum of Tolerance is a partner to schools in advancing anti-bias education, inclusion, and equity through unique professional development programs. Set in the immersive, high-tech learning environment of the Museum of Tolerance, participants are challenged to examine the Holocaust in both historic and contemporary contexts, confront all forms of prejudice and discrimination, and assume responsibility for positive change. Every program features innovative methods to promote self-reflection, critical thinking, and action planning.

Las Lomitas Elementary School District has been fortunate to receive grant funding to send more than 100 participants made up of teachers, administrators, board members, classified staff, and parent and community stakeholders to attend workshops at the Museum in Beverly Hills.  This work is helping us  to increase our own individual awareness and knowledge in the areas of equity and diversity.  Using what we learn at the Museum, our goal is to build upon our strengths as we enhance district relationships and culture.

CODING

CODING

A coding class is offered as an elective at La Entrada.

The "Hour of Code" day is offered so that all La Entrada students have the Coding experience during a Nationally advertised week. It continues being integrated in many classrooms.

Here is an excellent site listing coding programs by grade level.
