You can also adapt the difficulty to the students' needs. Have K-3 students use manipulatives to solve incorrect answers; for grades 4-6 students can choose a problem and write a math story about it. 

Funbrain.com a web site where kids can score runs with their math skills; write their own crazy story; and never get short-changed with the cash register game.

Good News Bears Stock Market Good News Bears is a Web-based interactive stock market learning project for K-12. Using a variety of lesson plans, online forms, and activities, classmates engage in an interactive stock market competition and apply real-time stock market data from the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. The students play the roles of buyer and seller, deciding what stocks are worth trading.

Helping Your Child Learn Math Math activities for students ages 5-13 are the focus of this Web site, hosted by the U.S. Department of Education. Topics include things that kids can do at home, at the store, or in transit. It is designed for parents, but could easily be adapted for classroom use.

How Far Is It? Using this site, students can find the distance between cities, their populations, latitude and longitude, elevation, and telephone area code! Visitors type in the names of the cities, like New York and London, in the appropriate areas and click on the "Look it up" button. Within a matter of seconds, the shortest distance between the cities is displayed. You can also link to an online map if you want to view the cities.
